The How To Train Your Dragon 2 Traveling Art Show & Charity Auction

I recently donated 4 original dragon themed pieces to take part in the "How To Train Your Dragon 2 Traveling Art Show & Charity Auction". Here they are...

"Defenders of Berk"
(Windsor Newton Ink & Brush on Paper)
Some process photos:

Smile, Toothless! #1
(Windsor Newton Ink/Brush & Acrylic on Paper)

Smile, Toothless! #2

Smile, Toothless! #3
(Windsor Newton Ink/Brush & Acrylic on Paper)

The official Gallery opening took place at Gallery Nucleus on June 21st, and was a HUGE success.
When the online auction for the original pieces begins/ends, all proceeds will be donated to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. A pretty incredible event put together by the fabulous people at DreamWorks and lead by Head of Story on the feature film, Tron Mai. I will keep updating with more info of where/when the show will be traveling to next, along with info about the online auction which will begin at the same time the feature film is released on DVD.
Thanks for visiting!!

BARBARELLA! From Sketch to Final

Hi, Friends!
Here is some Barbarella fan art!
I absolutely adore this movie for all it's silly sci-fi 70's wonder.
First is the piece in it's final state followed by some photos of my progress.
From pencil sketch, I inked with Windsor Newton Black ink & a Series 7 #6 brush. Then I took the finished line work, scanned it, and went LSD NUTS-O with the colour (of course all colours inspired by the film).
I had a LOT of fun doing this one, and I think it will probably influence my next adventures with a brush and ink.

Final Colour in real LSD vision!

Complete Line Work

First Pencil Sketch
Adding more pencil details

Beginning the Ink! May favourite part!

Almost there!
